The shirt story

One of the most popular elements of the men's clothes is the shirt that has numerous forms, sizes, colours and prints. Nowadays it has become even more modern than the T-shirts.
Till the 18th century the short was worn under the outer clothes in such manner that only the collar was seen. That is why the shirt was first considered to be the underwear but even nowadays it associates with its origins. In reality the man mustn't take off the jacket especially in the presence of ladies.
Till the end of 19th century the white shirt was the incarnation of the elegant man. Only the person with money could allow washing it several times and the enough number of the shirts to change them regularly.
The striped shirts became fashionable in the end of 19th century and there was the period of fight until they turned into the element of the part of the business suit. The shirts with the print always provoked the suspicions that the person worn them to hide the lack of cleanness. The way out was found and the collars and cuffs of shirts were left white.
The style of the modern shirts is different and varies from the strict and official and classical to the multicoloured shirts for the holidays. But you mustn't forget about the classical types and prints of the shirts. After all they are also made according to the latest fashion and designers manage to add some details to them; it makes the classical shirt more beautiful and comfortable. The striped shirt is still fashionable.
