The men's shoes story
The businessman must have good shoes of the high quality. This is one of the most important parts of the men's wardrobe. In fact shoes are the base of the elegant style. Shoes of good quality are able to be worn by years bringing the pleasure for their owner.
The history of the shoes has not more than one thousand years. The place of its birth is usually considered to be the West of Europe. In opinion of many investigators the first boots in the history of humanity had the look of the socks made of the bear's fell that were warmed by the dry grass inside.
Of course the usual shoes of the Ancient World were the sandals made of the leather as the climate of this part of Europe was rather mild. At that time only rich people had the possibility to wear the sandals. Aristocracy was wearing it while the slaves and servants had to walk without any shoes.
In Ancient Rome there were two kinds of shoes. The first one was the calceus that were the shoes that covered the whole foot and was fixed by the laces in front. Another type was the solea that were the thin sandals.
The invention of the 20th century was the change of the shoe's form as it starts to fit closely to the feet repeating the form of the feet. During the 20s of the past century sandals lived their rebirth and after the World War II people started to experiment with the material cheaper than the leather.
